Occupational Licensing Computer Based Testing

CBT is a STEERS module which enables approved testing centers to access a web-based application allowing applicants to take a TCEQ Occupational Licensing exam on a personal computer.

Each proctor with the approved testing center will:

  1. Create a STEERS account and complete a STEERS Participation Agreement (SPA). The proctor will need to add access to CBT with the testing center ID assigned by TCEQ.
  2. Follow procedures in the CBT User Guide to set up the PC’s used to administer CBT.
  3. Follow agreement and procedures in User Guide when administering CBT.

If you have difficulty accessing the CBT application after logging into STEERS, please check the following:

  1. Review the Troubleshooting and Error Messages section of the CBT User Guide.
